Freda Berry

BERRY, Freda Mae - Age 87, of Flint, passed away in her home, Wednesday, December 14, 2022.  Per Freda's request cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.  Those desiring may make contributions in Freda's name to the Genesee County Humane Society.

Freda was born March 24, 1935 in Burnsville, NC, the daughter of Harold and Gladys (Story) Hefner.  She was a graduate of Hickory High School in Hickory, NC.  She retired from Fisher Body Grand Blanc after 20 years of service.  She had resided in Flint since 1966 coming from Hickory, NC.  Freda enjoyed working in the yard and watching wildlife (especially the birds) and she always loved caring for her pets, most recently Terra.

Surviving are: her children, James E. (Marlyn) Berry of Messena, NY, Steven H. (Sharlene) Berry of Ubly and Candida L. (Paul) DuThorn of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie) Thibo, Alex Berry and Ashlyn DuThorn; and great grandsons, Cooper and Trip Thibo.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gladys Hefner.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
