Fred Sharp

SHARP, Fred H. - Age 79, of Clio, formerly of Linden, died Saturday, November 11, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 15 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home where a Masonic Service will be held at 7 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Masonic Pathways, 1200 Wright Ave, Alma, MI 48801. Fred was born May 13, 1938 in Flint, the son of Ralph and Dena Covert Hart Sharp. He lived in Clio for many years, coming from Linden. Fred graduated from Linden High School in 1956 and Ferris State University in 1961. He married Ellen Farner on August 31, 1958 in Fenton. Fred was a former Teacher at Bendle Middle School, then he worked in management at General Motors. He was a member of the Clio Masonic Lodge. Surviving are: his beloved wife of 59 years, Ellen; 2 daughters, Noreen Boyton of Quincy, FL and Laura Alward of Mancelona; 2 grandsons; 1 sister, Michele (Micky) Miller of Fenton; 1 brother, Michael (Cathy) Sharp of Williamsburg; and sister-in-law Pat (Farner) Whitehouse of Tawas.
