VITOUS, Frank H. - Age 82, of Swartz Creek, he was born, raised, lived, and died on his family farm on Friday, July 21, 2017 surrounded by his family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM and at church Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek Food Pantry. Frank was born July 30, 1934 in Swartz Creek, the son of Frank and Mary (Nemecek) Vitous. He married Willadean Spratt June 26, 1954 in Flint. He retired as the manager of Valley Petroleum after 40 years of service, he also was a farmer. He was a life long member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. He was the longest member of the Swartz Creek Kiwanis Club having been a member for 50 years and was involved in the Key Club at Swartz Creek High School. He was a volunteer with the Swartz Creek Food Pantry and the Pajtas Theater. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Willadean; children, Gary (Dawn) Vitous, Debra (Andrew) Petersen, Lori (Norman) Alkema, and Timothy (Julia) Vitous; 10 grandchildren, John, Amanda, Joseph, Alyssa, Nicholas, Trevor, Anthony, Chase, Terry, and Austin; 7 great grandchildren, Frank, Emma, Ashlyn, Gregory, Faith, Daxson, and Bennington; special niece and nephew, Rod Gardner and Dawn White; and his loving dog, Woody.
