STANTON, Frank Ernest, age 82, of Durand passed away August 27, 2021. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Memorial contributions in Frank's memory would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Frank was born April 15, 1939 in Flint, the son of Joseph James and Julia Genevieve (Keener) Stanton. Frank graduated from Kearsley High School in 1957. He went on to marry Betty Lou Hunt in Burton on June 9, 1962. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an Electrician and founder of Stanton Electric. Frank also was employed as a Skilled Trade Electrician with GM. He was a member of I.B.E.W. # 948 and UAW Local 651. He enjoyed hunting, spending time at his cabin in Montana, and never missed an opportunity to let people know that "he went to Dearborn Truck Driving School".
Frank is survived by: his wife, Betty; children, Frank Stanton, Jr., Vicki Vaughan, Michael Stanton, and Artie (Ferann) Stanton; grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha Vaughan, and Colton Stanton; brother, John Stanton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Joseph James Stanton; sister, Alice Hayth; brother, Robert Stanton. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
