Frank Photiou

PHOTIOU, Frank Andreas - Age 67, of Flint Township, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 E. Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc.  Fr. Peter Bistolarides officiating.  Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint.  Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  A Trisagion service will be held at the church 7:00 PM Thursday.  Those desiring may make contributions to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.

Frank was born July 28, 1955 in Flint, the son of Andreas Frank and Irene Mary (Buterakos) Photiou.  He was a 1973 graduate of Southwestern High School and he received a Bachelor's degree from Ferris State University.  He had resided in the Flint area his entire life.  Frank owned and operated, with his family, Andy's Restaurant and Andy's Lounge.  He was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.  He enjoyed cooking and restoring automobiles.

Surviving are: his daughter, Teela (Brandon) Galus of Flushing; grandson, Brice Hamilton of Flushing; sister, Anastasia (Eric) Cholack of Northville; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Dino and Mark Photiou.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
