Frank Maier

MAIER, Frank, age 95 of Flint, died November 23, 2005 at Genesys Convalescence Center in Grand Blanc.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, November 28, 2005 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth St. Flint, with family receiving friends at 10:30am.  Monsignor Richard Groshek Celebrant.  Interment will be in Flint Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held Saturday, 6-8 PM and Sunday, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek, where a rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM. Sunday.  Frank was born September 10, 1910 in Ritzing, Germany.  He married Agnes McGeathy in October 1932 in Flint where they lived and raised their family together until retirement from Chevrolet Manufacturing after 47 years of service. In 1978, Frank and Agnes began spending the winters in Briney Breezes, FL.  Frank was a Charter Member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, a faithful Knights of Columbus member and a loving and devoted husband and father.  Surviving are 4 children, Carol Ann and husband Al Evans of Swartz Creek, Sondra and husband Jack Bigelow of Swartz Creek, Beverly Ashford of Linden, Ronald and wife Cheryl Maier of Linden;  13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
