KRAL, Frank John - age 91, of Flushing, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, August 28, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Kral was born October 15, 1915 in Lapeer, the son of John and Thressa Kral. He married Isabelle Uren in 1962 and she preceded him in death. Mr. Kral retired from General Motors Buick City in 1972 after 30 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. and participated in the Kearsley Sit-Down Strike of 1937. Mr. Kral was a member of Tri-County Bicycle Association and had bicycled 72,000 miles of 15 years. He also farmed for many years on 84 acres at VanVleet and Bristol Roads. Surviving are: two grandsons, Charles McLean and wife, Anita of Flushing, Thomas McLean and wife, Sue of Flushing; granddaughter, Teresa Thompson of Swartz Creek; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren also survive.
