HEINZ, Frank John - age 67, of New Lothrop, passed away peacefully while vacationing in Florida surrounded by his loving wife and three wonderful children, Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM Monday, March 22, 2010 at St. Michael Church of Maple Grove, 17994 Lincoln Rd., New Lothrop with Fr. TJ Fleming celebrant. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a vigil service will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held 9 AM until the time of service Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Give Kids the World Village (www.gktw.org), 210 South Bass Road, Kissimmee, FL 34746. Frank was born May 24, 1942 in New Lothrop, the son of Lada and Christina (LaBanc) Heinz. He married Judy Wangler on September 10, 1966 at St. Mary in Swartz Creek. Frank retired from General Motors Buick City in 1998 after 34 years of service. He also worked at Fisher Body until the plant closed. He loved traveling, vacationing and Polka Music but most of all his grandsons. Surviving are: wife, Judy of New Lothrop; three children Crissy (Dan) Fath of Swartz Creek, Shelly (Chuck) Purves of Flint and Frankie Heinz (fiancée, Margaret Sachs) of Goodrich; six grandsons, Travis and Austin Fath, Tristan, Cameron and Aiden Heinz, Cody Sachs; three siblings, Ann Monroe, George (Joyce) Heinz and Linda Anderson, all of New Lothrop; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws also survive.
