HAYES, Frank William Jr. Â Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, April 14, 2006 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Sunday, 12-2 and 4-8 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice or the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Hayes was born May 18, 1929 in Flint the son of Frank William Hayes Sr. and Emma Pauline (Lathrope) Hayes. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army. He married Phyllis Dixon on May 10, 1952 in Flint. Mr. Hayes retired from Chevrolet Manufacturing with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and actively served on several committees. He volunteered at the Sloan Museum and Perry Archives for many years, and was a researcher for the inventory of the National Fostoria Glass Museum in Moundsville, WV for 16 years. He was everybodys Mr. Fix-it. Surviving are: wife Phyllis; four children, Luanne and husband Gary Cech of Flint, Frank William Hayes III of Lansing and Flint, Jeanette and husband John Hyden of Bedford, TX. Greg Hayes and wife Theresa of Fenton; ten grandchildren, Chris and Jeff Kuziemko, James and Josh Cech, Frank William Hayes IV and wife Jennifer, Sara Hayes, Katie and Heather Hyden, Alyssa Hayes; one great-grandson, Carter Hayes; sisters, Dorothy Bois, Betty and husband Bob Dasen; brother, Robert Hayes and wife Vera; brother-in-law, Raymond Jimenez; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; sister, Geraldine Jimenez; brother-in-law, Jack Bois; and granddaughter, Amy Dee Hayes.
