BURTON, Francis A. "Frank" - Age 75, of Flint, died Thursday, April 13, 2017. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to Frank A. Burton Memorial Fund c/o Scott and Tammy Burton 1117 E. Hemphill, Flint, MI 48507. Frank was born December 3, 1941 in Flint, the son of Orville "Bunk" and Lucy (Sargent) Burton. He was a graduate of Northern High School and attended Flint Junior (Mott) College. Frank was a Millwright at General Motors for 31 years. He was a member of the Flint Banjo Club and the lead guitarist for Fisher Quality Band. Frank was a metal fabricating craftsman and enjoyed playing pool. Surviving are: 2 children, Scott (Pamela) Burton and Tammy Burton; 5 grandchildren, Jason A. Burton, Trevor A. Burton, Carrie (Matt) Kotalik, Brandon Mooney, and Taylor Holland; 5 great-grandchildren, Kourtney, Lilly, Trevor, Jay Jr., and Vivian; sister-in-law, Merlyn Burton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Sandra Burton; brothers, Orville Burton, Jr., Lloyd Weaver, and Ken Weaver.
