BELILL, Francis George - Age 87, of Fenton, died Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Regency of Grand Blanc. Private interment will take place at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum, Saginaw. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A service will take place at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Francis was born on May 19, 1933 in Flint, MI, the son of Francis and Dorothy (Zuellig) Belill. He was a graduate of Northern High School in Flint and received a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from the University of Michigan. Francis married Barbara Jean Allen on September 19, 1959 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Flint. He retired from G.M. Central office in Warren in 1988. He proudly served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge. Francis and Barbara had resided in Mt. Morris, Warren, Kettering, OH, Beavercreek, OH, and Utica, MI prior to moving to Fenton. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, poker, making stained glass, and building model ships.
Surviving are: his daughter, Deborah (David) Barnes; son, Francis Belill; grandchildren, Courtney Barnes, Emily Barnes, and Zachary Belill; and sister-in-law, Joanne Belill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Belill; parents, Francis and Dorothy Belill; and brother, Ronald Belill. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
