Frances Marie Purdy

PURDY, Frances Marie  age 84, of Lake Fenton, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Genesys Hospice. Cremation has taken place and a luncheon will be held 4-7 PM Monday, April 17, 2006 at the French Laundry. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice, 7280 S. State Rd., Goodrich, MI 48438. Marie was born April 18, 1921 in Little Rock, AR, the daughter of Robert and Mollye (Owen) Green. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School and married Thomas Purdy on August 7, 1945 in Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1984. Surviving are: two daughters, Lyn Strange of Boston, MA, Molly Purdy and Scott Sarver of Fenton; three grandchildren, Laurel Strange and Tom Thuman, Chad Strange, all of San Francisco, CA, Thomas Sarver of Fenton; nephew, Charles Purdy of Flint. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Carl Green.
