Frances Ruth Parkhurst

PARKHURST, Frances Ruth -- Age 86, of Naples, FL passed away Friday, July 21, 2006. Ruth had been a resident of Naples since 1997 coming from Flint. She was born January 20, 1920 in Midland, MI a daughter of the late Frank A. and Celia Mae (Leonard) Havers. She was the wife of the late Donald J. Parkhurst, who passed away on December 12, 1973. Ruth was a graduate of Flint Central High School. She was the owner of ABC Office Services in Flint and also co-founded Iota Nu Sorority in 1945 in Flint. She is survived by her two loving children and their spouses, John R. and Beth Parkhurst of Dallas, TX and Kathleen E. and John Stimpson of Bonita Springs, FL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 29 at 11 AM at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 - 8 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. The family suggests that memorial contributions in her name be made to Hospice of Naples, Inc., 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL  34105.
