HAJEC, Mrs. Frances B. - Age 89, of Fenton, died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at Genesys Convalescent Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Saturday, October 11, 2003 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide, Fenton, Fr. David Harvey, celebrant. Interment in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 1-9PM at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. A Vigil Service will be held 7:30PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. John Gift Campaign. Mrs. Hajec was born April 2, 1914 in Manistee, MI, the daughter of Ernest and Rose (Kowolski) Helminski. She was married to Stanley A. Hajec October 14, 1933; he preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Hajec had lived in Fenton since 1939 and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, a past member of the Altar Society, and a member of the Tuesday Club. Mrs. Hajec is survived by: children, Stanley Hajec of DE, Thomas Hajec and wife Sue of NC, Joseph Hajec and wife Susan of DE, David Hajec and wife Donna of Fenton, Michael Hajec and wife Shirley of Fenton, Mary Rhoads and husband Tim of Linden; 15 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; sisters, Mary Tarczan and Helen Wichtoski, both of Manistee; several nieces and nephews in Fenton; and many relatives in Poland. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter-in- law, Lucy Hajec; 5 brothers; 1 sister. Friends may share their online condolences for the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
