Frances Elizabeth Bacus

BACUS, Frances Elizabeth, age 87, of Downers Grove, Illinois formerly of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Illinois. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday, July 7, 2008 at Calvary Christian Church, 7315 Corunna Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Mike Haines officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 6-8PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Christian Church. Frances was born September 18, 1920 in Parkin, Arkansas the daughter of Clyde and Cecil Rose (Duncan) Pierce. She married Lyndell H. Bacus in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was a writer, a long standing member of the Flint Writer's Club and a member of Calvary Christian Church. Surviving are her 3 children, James Bacus and daughter-in-law Casey Eslick of Oak Brook, IL, SHaron Springs and son-in-law Gary Springs of Colorado, Dorothy Maynard and son-in-law Hobert Maynard from Flushing, MI; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
