Floyd W. Jones

JONES, Floyd W. - Age 76, of Linden, passed away October 23, 2023. Private services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  Floyd was born September 5, 1947 in Flint, the son of Archie and Leona (Rutherford) Jones. He married Susan on July 13, 1987. Floyd was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a graduate of Lake Fenton High School. In 2001, Floyd retired from GM-Delphi, where he was a designer. Floyd was an avid skier and had skied all over the United States and Canada. He was a lifetime member of Schussmeisters' of Michigan, a ski instructor for Schussmeisters', Mt. Holly and Winter Waldens. He also had a love of sailing the Great Lakes, Puget Sound and Peneobscot Bay. Floyd is survived by his wife, Susan; children, John (Nora), Ryan and Clayton; grandchildren, Loren, Elle, Aubrey, Parker, Caroline and Meadow; brother, Robert.
