Floyd Stayt

STAYT, Floyd Junior - Age 90, of Linden, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.  Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating.  Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday February 16 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Monday from 1 PM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to Fenton United Methodist Church.

Floyd was born April 6, 1929, the son of Floyd Joseph and Blanche (Yonker) Stayt.  He was a 1947 graduate of Utley High School.  He married Ida Mae Harvey August 25, 1951 in Indiana and she preceded him in death August 18, 2019.  Floyd retired in 1984 from Fisher Body Grand Blanc after 33 years of service.  He had resided in Linden since 2005 coming from Fenton.  He was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, woodworking, and building.

Surviving are: his children, Sandra (Alvin) Jones of Flint, Kenneth (Vicky) Stayt of Fenton, Judith (Steve) Finch of Arizona, Rebecca Jeffers (John Nolkemper) of Fenton; and Allen (Hyon Ju) Stayt of UAE; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Edmund (Mabel) Harvey; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; great grandson, Austin Jeffers; brother, Arthur Stayt; and sister, Bertha Badgero.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
