PONTIOUS, Floyd Alvin - Age 78, of Byron, died May 30, 2015. No services will be held. Floyd was born March 30, 1937 in Kersey, PA, the son of Alvin and Olive (Himes) Pontious. He was married to Rosita on August 2, 1978 in Walled Lake; she preceded him in death on October 27, 2012. Floyd retired from General Motors in 1998. He enjoyed attending car shows, hunting and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are: children, Richard Pontious, Tami (Ernie) Bertolasio, Shelly "Mitch" Bodenmiller, Michael (Marcy) Bodenmiller, Jill (Brian) Lott; grandchildren, Taylor, Lauren, Rachel, Benjamin and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Ela and Allison; sister, Dorothy Swanson; brothers, Howard and Irvin Pontious; brothers-in-law, Dave (Joyce) Bertasio, Phil (Betty) Bertasio. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Anderson; granddaughter, Angie.
