Florence Fowler

FOWLER, Florence A. - age 91, of Kokomo, Indiana, formerly of Linden, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St. Linden with Rev. Don Neuville officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday, and 10-11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Florence was born on September 23, 1926 in Memphis, Michigan to John Merle and Esther L. (Johnston) Busha. She married Dr. Kenneth Fowler on June 3, 1967; he preceded her in death September 23, 1994. She had worked for Linden Schools and then worked for MSU as a executive secretary for over 30 years. Florence was a former member of O.E.S. She attended Grace United Methodist Church in Kokomo. She loved to knit and made hundred of Christmas stockings over the years. She loved to read and loved the great grandkids. Surviving are daughter, Shirlee (John) Bowers of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren, Johanna Readinger of Zionsville, IN, Andrew (Katy) Bowers of Kokomo, IN; great-grandchildren, Owen and Katherine Readinger, Zander, Maxwell and Isaac Bowers; sisters, Agatha (Bob) Pingley, Ethel Glombowski, Annis ( Patrick) Parrish; brother, Nelson Busha; several nieces and nephews; two step-children, Suzanne (Greg) Warner, John (Diane) Fowler; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dr. Kenneth Fowler and two sisters; Juanita Snyder and Hazel Pattison. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
