Florence Berner

BERNER, Florence Ray (Koenig) - Age 79, of Flint, died Thursday, June 9, 2022.  Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2022 at Machpelah Cemetery, 4615 Branch Road, Flint.  Leonard Meizish officiating.  Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.

Florence was born November 29, 1942 in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of Herbert and Stella (Gruner) Koenig.  She was a 1961 graduate of Flint Northwestern High School and she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from University of Michigan.  She married Irving Seymour Berner February 14, 1965 in Flint and he preceded her in death November 5, 2021.  Florence was a member of Congregation Beth Isreal in Flint.

Surviving are: her children, Alan (Andrea) Berner of New Jersey, Kelly (Kevin) Bergeron of Rochester, Patti Spindel of California, and Emily Bard of Oakland Township; grandchildren, Eliza, Zachary, Clayton, Nick, Shira, Shayna, Joshua, and Isaac; brother, Jim (Jenny) Koeing of St. Clair Shores.
