Ferris Dee Hallmark

Hallmark, Ferris Dee - of Swartz Creek age 71, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 26th, 2024, after his long battle with Cancer. He passed peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. Ferris was a man that lived life on his own terms. Anyone that knew him, knew his family was his everything. Ferris was born April 28, 1952 in Chattanooga, TN., moving to Michigan as a teen. He was an entrepreneur in many industries including car detailing, broadcasting and the most recent co-owner of the Julie Hallmark Insurance agency for the last 30 years. Ferris was a member of the Athletic Assoc. Officials group for 28 years. His passion for working with the high school kids and college through sports-football, baseball, etc. was a testament to his love of kids. He lived an active life with 4H for years, grew up on a farm and brought the love of farm life to his daughters raising horses and many other animals. If you couldn’t find Ferris, he was out on the tractor or off working somewhere, never one to sit or relax much. Ferris leaves behind his wife Julie (Chapman) Hallmark-together for 32 years. He was the proud father of 3 boys and 2 girls, Matthew Lane (deceased), Jason Lane, Jonathan (Jennifer) Hallmark, Morgan (Joshua) Grab, Jordan Hallmark. Nathan (Danielle) Hallmark, his nephew who is thought of as a son. Many grandchildren. His brother Ray Hallmark and sisters Jane (Wayne) Morgan and Lavora Lancour. Also, many loved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Edna (Roark) Hallmark, his brother Donald Hallmark, his son Matthew Lane, his brother-in-law Wayne Morgan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to City of Hope Cancer Center or the family. A celebration of life will take place at a later time.
