Fern G. Bergh

BERGH, Fern Gertrude - Age 77, of Linden, died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Sharp Funeral  Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Pastor Thulisiwe Beresford  officiating. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be from 5- 8 PM Monday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation. Mrs. Bergh was born July 30, 1926 in Flint, the daughter of Alvin and Agnes (Kreft) Root. She was a 1944 graduate of Linden High School and was the school representative for the Daughter's of the American Revolution. She received her Nursing Degree from Mott Community College and work as a nurse at Hurley Medical Center of 12 years. She married Donald Bergh on June 19, 1948 in Rankin. Mrs. Bergh was a long-time member of Salem Lutheran Church and was past-president of the Lutheran Church Women. She enjoyed golfing, gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving are: husband, Donald of Linden; son, Thomas H. Bergh and wife, Sandra of Southfield; three grandchildren, David, Kristen and Kathryn; brother, Jerome L.
