Federico G. Flores -- age 101, of Georgetown,Texas, (formerly of Adrian, Michigan), died on June 7, 2024, at the Grand Blanc Fields Assisted Living Facility in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
He was born in Narango,Texas on March 17,1923 to Antonio Flores and Marina Guerra Flores. He served his country in the US Army Medical Corps at the Battle of Normandy in World War II. On November 16,1946 he married Maria Salazar in Adrian, Michigan.
He was employed by GTE. He owned Flores Commercial Cleaning Service, as well as Flores Lawn Care Service in Adrian, before transferring to Bell South Telephone in Georgetown, Texas until his retirement.
Both Fred and Mary were devoted Jehovah's Witnesses and served as Pioneers in both Michigan and Texas.
He is survived by his daughter Frances Flores Hunter; son Chris (Pam) Flores; grandchildren, Kimberly Hunter Jones, Jeffrey Hunter, Brian (Jennifer) Hunter, Austin (Katie) Flores, Alexandria Flores, Jennifer (Tom) Esler; and nine great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years Maria; son Guadalupe Flores; son-in-law Allen L. Hunter; brothers, Enrique Flores, Celso Flores, Antonio Flores, LeoPolo Flores and Victor Flores; sisters, Petra Cortez and Mela Garcia.
The Flores family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Grand Blanc Fields.
Cremation has taken place per his request. A memorial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please do something nice for someone else. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507.
