ALEXANDER, Faymarian Tremper - Age 92, of Linden, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Caretel Inns of Linden. Family and friends will gather at 11:00 AM Monday, October 19, 2009 at Acacia Park, 31300 Southfield Rd, Beverly Hills, for her burial. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Saturday from 3-8 PM and Sunday from 1-5 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan, 3011 W. Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202. Mrs. Alexander was born July 15, 1917 in Detroit, the daughter of Lawrence and Marion (Drazan) Tremper. She was a 1935 graduate of Cooley High School in Detroit. She married John "Jack" E. Alexander April 5, 1941 in Dearborn and he preceded her in death May 31, 2001. Mrs. Alexander started out working for Detroit Edison until she married, she then worked for Ford during WWII. After the war she was a homemaker and very active in the Girl Scouts of Metropolitan Detroit. Surviving are: daughter, Kathleen and husband Robert Mermuys of Fenton; 2 grandchildren, Carrie Mermuys of Fenton, Michael and wife Kathryn Mermuys of Linden; 2 great grandchildren, Abigail and Nicholas; dear nieces and nephew, Michelle Tremper Brown and husband G.L. Brown, Terry and husband Tim Flaherty, Nancy and husband Dave Schultz, Barbara and husband Joe Pasuit, and David Ewald; many great nieces and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Alexander III in March 1999; brother, Vaughn Tremper in October 2009.
