Faye (Marjorie) Blackford

BLACKFORD, Faye (Marjorie) - age 101, of Flushing, died April 28, 2022, the daughter of Bruno and Eva (Borrow) Wander. Marjorie and Richard C. Blackford were classmate sweethearts at Flushing High School and were married on November 20, 1940. Richard preceded his wife, of 81 years, in death on January 16, 2022. Marjorie was employed as a secretary at Buick Motor Division and Michigan State University, and she was the office manager of her husband's business, Fabiron. Surviving are three children, Ann (Paul) Wick of Flushing, Winston (Janet) Blackford of Lander, WY, and Cassandra Blackford of Flushing; five grandchildren, Daniel (Ann) Wick, David (Kelley) Wick,  Julianne (Michael) Geyser, Richonda (James) Klaassen, Tiffany (Fred) Marjerrison; several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; sister, Lucille (Herbert) Cole of Jensen Beach, FL. The family thanks Rachel Casssel and the staff of Victoria House for their loving care of our mother. A memorial will be held at a later date.
