Faye Ellen HIMELHOCH-VALENCIA

HIMELHOCH-VALENCIA, Faye Ellen - age 48, of Flint, died Monday, April 26, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Chapel of Machpelah Cemetery, 4615 Branch Rd., Flint with Mr. Leonard Meizlish officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Congregation Beth Israel. Faye was born June 24, 1961 in Flint, the daughter of Robert L. and Sandra J. (Polk) Himelhoch. She was a graduate of Carman High School and Michigan State University. Faye was a teacher at Okemos High School. She played many instruments, piano, flute and piccolo in high school and was involved in theater. In college she majored in Spanish. Faye chaperoned her Spanish classes to Costa Rica. Family includes: mother, Sandra Himelhoch and father, the Late Robert Himelhoch of Flint; two daughters, Alexandra Valencia (Erik Abraham) of Hoffman Estates, IL, Monica Valencia of TX; brother, Alan (Sharon) Himelhoch of Grand Blanc; sister, Gail (Steven) Johnson of Clarkston; granddaughter, Vanessa Abraham; nephews and nieces, Casey Johnson, Jill and Ava Himelhoch. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Kith Haven, McLaren Regional Medical Center and McLaren Hospice as well as family and friends for all their love and support.
