Fay Schultheis

SCHULTHEIS, Fay Arlene - Age 92, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, February 7, 2022.  Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Fay's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.  Pastor Steve Spina officiating.  Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek Lion's Club or the Swartz Creek Sportsman and Conservation Club.  Fay was born March 31, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Horace and Mabel (Beckman) Ikerd.  She was a 1946 graduate of Flint Central High School and she attended Flint Junior College.  She married Edgar O. Schultheis December 2, 1950 in Flint.  She had resided in Swartz Creek since 1965 coming from Lennon.  Fay retired 1987 from GM Chevrolet Manufacturing after 33 years of service.  She was a past member of New Lothrop Order of Eastern Stars.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, spending the winters in Okeechobee, FL and summers at Wixom Lake.   Surviving are: her husband of 71 years, Edgar; children, Gary Schultheis of Swartz Creek, Carol (Gary) Higgins of Corunna, and Scott (Tina) Schultheis of Midland; 4 grandchildren, Eric Higgins, Kelly Higgins, Anna Schultheis, and Emily Schultheis; brothers, Lynn Ikerd of Wichita, KS and Allen (Mary) Ikerd of Swartz Creek; sisters, Gladys Ikerd and Donna (Carroll) Moore both of Bloomington, IN; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Chad, Dale, Gene, and Larry Ikerd; sister-in-law, Gertrude Braddock; and brother-in-law, Homer Braddock.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
