Faith Marie PEARCE

PEARCE, Faith Marie (Call) -- Age 67, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Linden, died March 10, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 14 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, Pastor Harvey Fry officiating. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, for the Breast Cancer Support Group. Faith was born October 8, 1941 in Metamora, the daughter of Clifford and Nina (Hunt) Call. She had resided in the Linden area for over 40 years. She married Thomas L. Pearce on November 22, 1974. She loved her family and her extended family from the day care. Faith operated "Kids Are People Too" in Linden, then Fenton and Grand Blanc for 27 years. There are hundreds of children she taught, cared for, and loved like her own in her day care center. She also enjoyed flower gardening, scrapbooking and their home on Leisure Lake. Surviving are: husband Thomas; five children, Kimberly (James) Spooner of Linden, Kent Tift of Atlanta, GA, Kory (Natalie) Pearce of Tacoma, WA, Korine (Ted) Schuler of Linden, Kevin (Lisa) Pearce of Linden; step-children, Bill (Lisa) Pearce of Lansing, Mark (Sandy) Pearce of Fremont, Cathy Pearce of Grand Blanc; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Gerald Call of Oxford, Janet Olmsted of Cedar Springs, Douglas (Susan) Call of Chapel Hill, NC, Donna Call of Hudsonville, Dennis Call of Grand Rapids, Dawn Call of Crawfordsville, FL, Stephen (Barbara) Harris of Columbiaville; many nieces and nephews.
