ROOT, Evelyn  Age 81, of Swartz Creek died Friday, September 30, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, October 3, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. J.D. Landis officiating. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-9 Sunday at the funeral home. Box 29119, Phoenix, AZ 85038. Mrs. Root was born February 14, 1924 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of Lee and Florence (Moore) Parker. She married Robert Root on January 16, 1944 in Tucson, AZ and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2003. Mrs. Root was employed by Bell Telephone and Hurley Hospital. Surviving are: four children, Paula Smith of Swartz Creek, Robert Root of Phoenix, AZ, Richard Root and wife, Laurie of Lennon, Noreen Davis of Burton; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
