Evelyn Cecelia O'Neil

ONEIL, Evelyn Cecelia  Age 87, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, January 24, 2005 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth St., Flint with Fr. Francis Faraci celebrant. Interment will be held at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A rosary will be held 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Easter Seals. Evelyn was born July 12, 1917 in Houston, MN, the daughter of William A. and Susie (Johnston) Witt. She had resided in Swartz Creek most of her life. She was married to Rufin ONeil in November 20, 1942 in LaCrosse, WI; he preceded her in death July 19, 2000. Mrs. ONeil was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a former member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. She was active with the Easter Seals. Surviving are: son, Darrel and wife Gerri of Linden; daughter, Carol Palmateer and fiancâ?s, David Elder of Durand; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren;  brothers and sisters, Robert Witt of CA, Bernard Witt of MN, Virginia Mrachek of MN; and many nieces and nephews.
