Evelyn Neumann

NEUMANN, Evelyn Gladys - Age 82, of Flushing, died Monday, December 4, 2017. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Genesee County Animal Control. Evelyn was born in Flint on June 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Stanley E. and Emma M. (Miller) Harp. She married John B. Neumann in Flint on August 29, 1956 and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1996. Evelyn enjoyed traveling, history, philosophy, reading, quilting and other crafts. She started her career working for the Flint School System as a teacher and librarian and later retired from the Flint Public Library with 27 years of service. Surviving are: daughter, Valerie A. Neumann of Flushing; son, Lawrence E. Neumann of NY; Grandchildren, Ashley F. Neumann of NY; great grandchildren, Nevaeh of NY; partner, Robert A. Neumann of Flushing. Evelyn is also survived by her caretaker, Summer Evan and Robin Lotridge; sister-in-laws, Mae Harp of Mt. Morris and Maxine Herrick of VA.
