Evelyn Myers

MYERS, Evelyn Mattie - age 83, of Fenton, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Private services have been held. Evelyn was born March 21, 1933 in Milford, the daughter of Wallace Joseph and Mamie (McLendon) Bailey. She loved working on the farm with her dad and grandpa. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with friends, tending her flower beds, fishing, knitting and crocheting. She moved to Houghton Lake in 1983 where she spent 20 plus years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Houghton Lake. Surviving are: five children, Laura (Jim) Hodges of Cadillac, Brenda Ottaway of Fenton, Cindy Ryan of Prudenville, Ricky Hards of TN, and Julie Sperling of Davison; six grandchildren, Colleen (Elizabeth), Darcy, James (Melissa), Jennifer (Jim), Aaron, Aric; eight great-grandchildren, Samuel, Rylee, Aubrey, Kaiden, Abigail, Ava, Stella, and Cora; brother, Joseph (Delores) Bailey; sister-in-law, Nancy Bailey; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Lyde; niece, Tammy; sons-in-law, Jim Ottaway and Tim Ryan. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.
