Evelyn Christine Lucier

LUCIER, Evelyn Christine - Age 88, of Linden, died Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Crestmont Nursing Care Center. Graveside services will be held 10 AM Saturday, September 4, 2004 at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton Eagles or the Fenton VFW. Mrs. Lucier was born November 1, 1915 in Leachville, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas Herbert and Elma (Pitts) Durham. She had resided in Linden since 1950. She was married to Barton Lucier on October 15, 1932 and he preceded her in death December 12, 1972. She owned and operated The Village Market (Mason's) in Linden for many years. She was a member of the Fenton Eagles, Fenton VFW and the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are: 2 sons, Barton 'Leonard' Lucier, Jr. of Linden, Donald Lee Lucier of Florida; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Wilson of North Carolina, Barbara Clymer of Mt. Morris; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Carole Kimble; daughter-in-law, Elaine Lucier; and brother, Harold Anderson.
