Evelyn Hodge

HODGE, Evelyn Grace - age 82, of Flint, died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Brian's House Hospice. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Calvary Community Church, 1201 W. 12th St., Flint with Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettel officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-3 and 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 1 PM until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Calvary Community Church. Mrs. Hodge was born September 15, 1926 in Flint, the daughter of Thomas and Hazel (Huff) Leineke. She married Edgar Hodge on September 22, 1953 and he preceded her in death. Her daughter, Cindy Huey also preceded her in death. Surviving are: four children, Char (Jim) Schluchter of IL, Carol Henson of Flint, Phillip Hodge of Davison, Carrie Webber of Flint; 12 grandchildren; son-in-law, Dennis Huey; brother, Rev. Frank Leineke; Many special nieces and nephews with a special thanks to Cindy (Jeff) Monroe and David Lee and aunt, Helen. She was also preceded in death by 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
