Evelyn Dzurak

Evelyn Dzurak (Granger), age 97 lifelong resident of Mt. Morris, passed away, surrounded by her family, on February 12, 2023.  A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Pastor Brad Foster officiating.  Burial will follow at Bendle Cemetery in Flushing, Michigan.  Visitation will be from 1 PM - 4 PM and 5 PM - 8 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the funeral home and from 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or the Disabled American Veterans.

She is survived by her children, Alan (Betty) Dzurak and Deborah (Dennis) Lakies.  Grandchildren, Rebecca (Aaron), Lisa (Wayne) and Keith (Tiffany) and four great-grandchildren.  Evelyn is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marion Granger, Emily Raper  and many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was born on May 20th, 1925 in Swartz Creek, Michigan to the late Romia and Alta (Vincent) Granger.  She graduated from Mary Crapo High School in 1944 and went on to work for General Motors for a few years.  She married George Dzurak on November 12, 1949 and they were married for 65 years before his passing on November 9th, 2015.  Evelyn enjoyed bowling, playing cards, square dancing and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Dzurak was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Roland, Jerome (Mary Lou), Louie (Lucille) and sister, Dorothy (FD).
