MACKO, Eva A., age 85, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, February 26, 2009 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 S. Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday and 2-4 & 5-8 PM Wednesday, with a Rosary at 6 PM, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Eva was born in Owosso, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Prohaska) Baibos. She married Edward W. Macko, January 26, 1946 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1973. Eva had been a member of the Flushing VFW Auxilary and had worked at AC during WWII. Surviving are her children; Barbara A. DeVonce, Lorraine Macko, Angela (Timothy) Buda, Linda Daly, Paul E. Macko, Rosemary (Aaron) Uptergraff, David J. (Carrie) Macko, Daniel W. (Yvonne) Macko, Spencer A. (Jennifer) Macko; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth (Robert) McCormick; brother, Alfred Baibos, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Gregory and a grandson Joseph L. DeVonce.
