Eva J. HUNGERFORD

June 10, 1910 — July 4, 2010

HUNGERFORD, Eva J. Age 100 of Fenton died July 4, 2010 at Crestmont HealthCare Center. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 P.M. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan with Pastor Dale Swihart officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-5 P.M. at the Fenton Chapel. Eva was born June 10, 1910 in Byron, the daughter of Lewis and Ida (Fritz) Campbell and graduated from Byron High School in the class of 1928. On June 22, 1930 Eva married Ernest Hungerford and lived the rest of her life in his hometown of Fenton. Ernest died in 1970. Eva was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, former president of "Entre Nous," Junior Child Study Club and worked 25 years at the State Savings Bank of Fenton. Eva loved people and made many friends in the area. She is survived by son Walter and wife Barbara of Fenton Township; sister Nola and husband James Cavett of Fenton, sister-in-law Helen Campbell of Byron, sister-in-law Lois and husband Charles Jones of Fenton, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Beulah Sickles, a brother Bud Campbell and a niece Pam Crandell. In lieu of flowers, contributions are being made to First Presbyterian Church of Fenton or Fenton Adopt-a-Pet.
