Eva Marie DOYKA

DOYKA, Eva Marie, age 66, of Burton, passed away Monday August 13, 2012 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral services will be held 1:30PM Thursday August 16, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Larry Green officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park following the service. Visitation will be held 1:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday and 12:30PM until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. Mrs. Doyka was born October 17, 1945 in Flint the daughter of the late William C. and Valentean J. (McKeon) Gallagher. Eva loved working in her flower gardens and playing bingo. She was self employed as a home health care specialist for 25 years. Surviving are: daughters, Marla (Bill) Wallin of IL, Rona (Jeff) Doyka-Alexander of Gaylord; son, Ken (Ginger) Doyka of Flint; grandchildren, Joel, Idolina, Brian, Kristine, Eric, Dustin, Brittney, Michael; brother, Raymond (Linda) Gallagher of Mt. Morris, Tom (Dora) Gallagher of St. Helens, Lon (Cheryl) Gallagher of Mayville, Randy (Nancy) Gallagher of Mt. Morris; sister, Maureen (Robert) Schultz of Roscommon, Tim (Paula) Gallagher of Grand Blanc; several nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews; best friend Sharon Brabbs. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Norma Thomas, brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Rita Gallagher, and brother Greg Gallagher.
