Eunice Durbin

Durbin, Eunice I. - Age 90, of Flint went home to be with the Lord January 7, 2019. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Eunice was born April 1, 1928 in Flushing, the daughter of Hugh and Ida (Toebe) Ellis. Eunice enjoyed sports; she played in softball, golf, and bowling leagues. She loved traveling and had traveled the world throughout her life. Her passion was gardening and tending to her roses. At age 50, she proudly earned her college degree and became a Dental Hygienist, retiring in 2003. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy. She especially cherished her great-granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Durbin and Teresa Durbin; beloved granddaughters, Amanda Speace and Courtney (Matthew) Praedel; very special great-granddaughter, Laila Grace Praedel; sister, Lila Ellis. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eloise Johnson, Ruth Johnson and Audrey Mauer; brothers, Glenn Ellis and Earl Ellis. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
