Eugene Robinson

ROBINSON, Eugene Anthony - Age 81, of Durand, died Sunday, November 7, 2021.  A private funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand at a later date.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Eugene was born February 20, 1940 in Midland, the son of Earl and Anna (Polgar) Robinson.  He was a 1958 graduate of Midland High School.  He received an Associates Degree in Electronics from Ferris State University.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserves.  Eugene married Marilyn Beth Krantz October 6, 1962 in Bay City.  He retired from GM Chevrolet as a Tool and Die Machinist.  He was a member of U.A.W. Local #659.  He enjoyed traveling and riding his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.

Surviving are: his wife, of 59 years, Marilyn; children, Laurie (James) Engleman of Byron, Christopher (Mary) Robinson of New Lothrop, James (Denise) Robinson Flushing, and Randy (JoAnn) Robinson of Gaines; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Earlene Marshall and Nellie Wallaker; and brother, John Robinson.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
