Eugene POWLISON

POWLISON, Eugene N. "Bud" - Age 85, of Fenton, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, June 6, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, 746 S. Saginaw St., Flint. Dr. John Musgrave will officiate. Those desiring may make contributions to First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Eugene was born June 15, 1925 in Fenton, the son of Jess V. and Irene C. (Northrop) Powlison. He was married to Maxine Thelma Zimmer on June 28, 1947 in Fenton. He was a graduate of Fenton High School. He earned a Bachelors of Science from Western Michigan University and a Masters of Science from The University of Michigan. Mr. Powlison was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. He retired from GM-Chevrolet Manufacturing, where he was an Industrial Engineer, in 1980 with 27 years of service. Mr. Powlison was an active member of First Presbyterian Church serving as a Deacon and Elder. He served as Past President of the Lake Fenton Property Owners Association and served on the Lake Fenton School Board. Mr. Powlison also served as a Volunteer Ambassador for McLaren Hospital. Surviving are: wife, Maxine; children, David and wife Lisa Powlison, Karen and husband Robert Benson; grandchildren, Meredith and Spencer Powlison, Brendan and Blaine Benson.
