Eugene Miron, Sr.

Eugene “Gene” Miron, Sr. of Flint, MI, was born on July 29, 1931, and left this earth for his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 11 days. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, February 15 at Center Point Church (formerly Faith Tabernacle) 1225 Center Road, Burton. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 1 PM Tuesday February 15 at the church. Interment at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center,  6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.

He was the baby of 5 children born to Norman Eugene Miron and Loretta St. Denis Miron. Gene married the love of his life, Rosemary Kubinec, on August 4, 1951, while serving in the United States Air Force. Blessed with 6 children in 8 years, Gene worked hard to be an excellent provider so “his Rose” could stay home to care for Deb, Joe, Sherryl, Bob, Babette, and Ron. Never one to waste time or watch the “boob tube” (unless there was a Tiger game on), he stayed busy building our home, designing the first known pole barn, installing a laundry chute that went from the 2nd floor to
the basement so mom didn’t have to climb stairs, leading a pack of Boy Scouts, running for political office, and baking Christmas cookies, koliche, peanut brittle, fudge, or taffy (he was an excellent cook/baker). After retiring from General Motors where he worked in various capacities including Skilled Trades-Carpentry and Management, Gene attended Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, from which he participated in a memorable missions trip to Panama. Gene passionately loves God, his Rose, 6 children, 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. The legacy he leaves us is rich, filled with a fierce, sacrificial love, and the knowledge that we can do anything and overcome anything with God.
