Eugene Marston

MARSTON, Eugene L.J. - Age 86 , of Hadley, died August 8, 2014. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, August 13 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 1021 S. Lapeer Rd., Lapeer, committal services following at Green Corners Cemetery, Hadley. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday. Eugene was born April 10, 1928 in Metamora the son of L.J. and Lulu (Ryan) Marston. He was a graduate of Goodrich High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. He married Marion Travise in 1954; she preceded him in Death November 11, 2012. He owned and operated the Metamora Barber Shop for over 50 years. He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion in Lapeer. He was a former member of the U.S. Trotting Association. He enjoyed his harness horses, hunting, and the Detroit Tigers. Surviving are: daughter Diane Deal (Jim Stippich) of Greenwood Village, CO; son, Mike (Barbara) Marston of Goodrich; sister Carolyn Braid of Lake Orion; half brother, Vaughn Marston of Washington State; grandchildren, Dana, Dion, Chris, Ashley, Kaylee, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Rileigh, Hailey, Emily, Ronan, Anders, and James. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.
