Etta H. Whiteman-Schweda

Whiteman-Schweda, Etta H. age 99, of Saginaw, formerly of Alpena and the Flint area, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. Funeral Services will be held 1PM Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 4-8PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. Etta was born March 31, 1907 in Brison, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Susie (Varhole) Jacobs. She married Harry K. Whiteman in 1927 and he preceded her in death in 1970. Etta then married Henry Schweda in 1971 and he preceded her in death in 1991. She was employed by AC for 25 years, retiring in 1969. Surviving are her son, George Whiteman (Jackie) of Birch Run; 3 grandchildren, George Whiteman, Jr. of Swartz Creek, Marcus LaForge of Honolulu, HI, Stacey Holihan (John) of Bridgeport; 2 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh LaForge of Honolulu, HI, Ryan Butterworth (Amy) of Kentwood; sister, Susan Ward of Houtzdale, PA. She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands; granddaughter, Helen E. Blaska in 1999; 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
