Ethel Caroline Jones

JONES, Ethel Caroline  Age 91, of Flushing, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Fostrian Manor. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, November 1, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Kenneth Sharp officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Fostrian Manor, 540 Sunnyside, Flushing, MI 48433. Mrs. Jones was born January 11, 1912 in Flint, the daughter of John and Ella (Vohwinkle) Gossman. She married Philip J. Jones on September 7, 1935 in Medina, New York. They were married for 67 years when he preceded her in death on September 1, 2002. She had resided in Flushing since 1953 coming from New York. Mrs. Jones was a former member of Flushing Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for Genesys Hospice, where she was the recipient of the Volunteer of the Year award and Fostrian Manor for many years. Mrs. Jones enjoyed her family and home. Surviving are: daughter, Kathy Taliaferro of Flushing; son, Kenneth and wife, Deanna Jones of Sun City, AZ; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
