Ethel Mae (Davis) Carriveau, age 90, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 14, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road, Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Dan Bowman will preside with burial following at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday and again from 12:00 PM until the time of service Monday. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
Ethel was born on June 24, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late James and Ella (Runyan) McClung. She graduated from Flint Dye High School, class of 1952. Ethel worked as a secretary for the Flint Board of Education working at the Kearsly and Carman Schools. She was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, Swartz Creek VFW Auxiliary 3720 and the Ossineke Eagles Auxiliary 4395. Ethel loved watching General Hospital and game shows. She will always be loved and missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Carriveau; daughter, Diana (Daniel) Peck; grandchildren, Sherri Sprague, Jen Peck and Jimmy Hardy; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Dolly Miller; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband, James Hardy; second husband, Bob Davis; son, Scott Hardy; brothers, James and Charles McClung; and sister, Beverly Arnold. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
