Esther Marie WILES

WILES, Esther Marie - age 91, of Linden, died Sunday, February 12, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden, with Rev. Pamela Kail officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Lake Fenton United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice. Mrs. Wiles was born February 7, 1921 in Grinnell, IA, the daughter of William Orville and Grace Viola (Hoyle) McDowell. She married Kenneth Wiles on November 19, 1941 in Fenton and he preceded her in death October 13, 2002. She was a cook at Lake Fenton High School for 10 years. She was a member of Lake Fenton United Methodist Church and Loose Senior Center. Surviving are: 5 children, Margaret (Bruce) Danks of Flint Township, Judith (Robert) Irwin of Grand Blanc, William (Sherrie) Wiles of Fenton, Lucinda Wiles of Linden and Cheri (Samuel) Morris of Orlando, FL; 6 grandchildren, Becky (Manny) Trevino of Birch Run, Bryan (Susan) Danks of Burton, William "Bill" (Jennifer) Wiles, Jr. of Jacksonville, AR, Bradley (Julie) Danks of Burton, Amy Wiles of Burton and Joseph Morris of Orlando; 10 great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Haley, Kyle, Allison, Tanner, Christopher, Brendon, Meghan and Austin; sister, Waunita (Wayne) Smith of Farmington Hills; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Wavern, Virgil, Warren and Lyman McDowell; 2 sisters, Ruth Courtney and Barbara Lauwers.
