SANTIMO, Ester - Age 95, of Rogers City, our dearest mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, was reunited in Heaven with the Lord, on September 16, 2019. She passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Church, 545 S 3rd St, Rogers City, on November 11, 2019 at 10 AM. A 8:30 AM Rosary, followed by Visitation will take place before time of service, at St.Ignatius Church. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Ignatius Church.
Ester was born April 02, 1924 in Rogers City, Michigan, the daughter of Paul and Anna Mulka. She attended St. Ignatius School and graduated from Rogers City High School in 1942. She started her first job working for Briggs manufacturing in Detroit, during World War II. She married the love of her life, Richard E. Santimo, on February 16, 1946. She worked at General Motors for 25 years, after retiring in December 1983. She was an active member of St. Ignatius Church and a member of the Rosary Society. Ester is survived by her children, Kaye (Charles) Balyeat, Michele Allard, Robert Santimo; Sisters, Dorothy Morley, Pauline Henry, Martha (Stanley) Smolinski; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Santimo; son, Richard Santimo; siblings, Phillip Mulka, Gerald Mulka, Julia Mulka, Sophie Socia, Helen Hopp, Mary Biernott, and Patrcia Gabryciak.
