Estella Ruiz

RUIZ, Estella C. -- Age 75, of Flint, formerly of Fenton, died September 28, 2008 at her residence. Funeral Services will be 6 PM Thursday, October 2 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, Pastor Larry Eckart officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Brians House Hospice. Estella was born June 15, 1933 in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Francisco and Rosa (Hoyas) Cruz. She had worked for Colony Dry Cleaners for 19 years retiring in 1979. Surviving are: three children, Edward Ruiz of Fenton, Sylvia Ruiz of Flint, Michael Ruiz of Flint; ten grandchildren, Daniel, Christine, and Michael Ruiz, Kimberly Munoz, MarSue, Candice and husband Steve Jones, Crystal Mansberry and Brian Beckman, Nicolle and husband Andrew Merritt, Jessica Ruiz; 29 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Valdomero and Manuel Cruz; two sisters, Erlenda Sanchez and Janie Guerreao; great-grandson, Noah Beckman; and her two favorite dogs, Peaches and Rocky. The family extends a special thanks to the hospice nurses from the Visiting Nurses of Michigan, Great Lakes Cancer Institute, and Dr. Singh and staff.
