Essie Arlene Hodack

HODACK, Essie Arlene - age 94, of Elsie, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Interment will follow in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hodack was born September 23, 1913 in Elba, MI, the daughter of Roy F. and Marguerite (Flannagan) Wagner. She was a 1932 graduate of Flint Central High School and married Joseph Hodack on September 11, 1943 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Hodack was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Flint and enjoyed crafts and working with the Boy Scouts. Surviving are: son, Joseph A. Hodack and wife, Tammy of Elsie; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
